Trade Asset Specialist

To manage the trade asset strategy including management of freezer capex budget, freezer placement reporting, placement cost optimization by channel, ordering and branding of freezers and placement implementation. Is responsible for all movements, trade placements, repairs and warehousing processes by managing suppliers, systems and internal stakeholders to deliver within Froneri service standards on time and within budget. Is also responsible for ordering of right quality freezers to deliver the category strategy on time and within budget including the management of importation documentation, clearing and distribution of assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tracking, managing and reporting on the Freezer capex budget for the ordering of new freezers based on the strategy provided by the category manager and sales.

  • Tracking, managing and reporting of the trade assets overheads budget ensuring that warehousing, new placements, movements and repairs are completed within budget.

  • Driving and leading cost savings initiatives relating to the management of the trade assets process and strategy including industry benchmarking on provider operational processes, procedures and costs to other players in the industry of all freezer management functions

  • Responsible for the implementation and management of the correct asset movement processes and IT systems.

  • Responsible to publish weekly / monthly reports to ensure effective budget management.

  • Responsible for asset repair process within warehouse including controls, cost savings, system functionality, scrap process, refurbishment process, analysis of repairs and reporting.

  • Responsible to manage service providers for warehousing, movements, placements, repairs and maintenance

  • Developing and maintaining high efficiency maintenance plans for the above assets in order to increase asset life cycle at the most efficient cost.

  • Maintaining asset register.

  • Responsible for process optimizations including processes used by sales team and distribution partners.

  • Responsible for asset tracking and audits.

  • Responsible for effective phasing of new capex assets

  • Responsible to provide various reports on effectiveness of freezers in trade and performance linked to return on investment

 

Key requirements

  • Degree in Supply Chain/ Finance or similar

  • 3-5 Years in a similar role

  • Advanced knowledge in Excel, Word, PowerPoint essential

  • Stakeholder / Relationship management and Ability to communicate at different levels of the Organisation.

  • Budget Management experience

  • Ability to work calmly and accurately under pressure

  • Attention to detail and accuracy and deadline driven

  • Be able to self-manage and ability to work independently with no supervision
